What does the future of the church look like? The Forming Church Podcast explores diverse approaches to church planting, mission and evangelism in our rapidly changing world. We want to generate learning and conversation around these areas, while resourcing the next generation of church planters, missional thinkers and followers of Jesus in contemporary Australian contexts. Growing fast and building culture with Joel Cave
Thursday Dec 03, 2020
Thursday Dec 03, 2020
Joel Cave and his wife Ellen planted Glow Church in 2013 on the Gold Coast. In just 7 years they have grown to over 4000 people and have planted churches in Sydney and Melbourne.
We had a conversation with Joel about the story of Glow Church and his own leadership and faith journey. Some of the themes in this conversation were taking big faith steps, trusting God and seeking to constantly build and refine good culture. We're grateful Joel took some time to add his perspectives to this conversation! We got plenty out of it, and we're sure you will too.

Developing leaders and networks with Ken Kamau
Thursday Nov 26, 2020
Thursday Nov 26, 2020
How do you handle leadership development in your context? Is it normative? Or are you stuck? And do you collaborate with other churches? What could this look like?
Ken Kamau brings powerful perspectives to this conversation integrating his background as a pastor at Nairobi Chapel in Kenya with his experiences in Australia both as the pastor of a local church and the Multiplication Facilitator at the Gen1K Mission Team. Yep, you guessed it - this is the same Ken who drops wisdom every week in the roundtable discussion. He's so good we needed to pick his brains a little further on a dedicated episode.
